Acupuncture

Through the use of hair-like needles, the practitioner is able to stimulate energy (Qi) through the body to support a variety of symptoms and health concerns. The aim of treatment is to harmonize the body-mind-spirit to prompt the body’s ability to heal. Acupuncture is known to be deeply relaxing and a powerful aid in shifting back to wellness. Treatments at Glow incorporate different modalities including acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, bodywork, gua sha, ear seeds, and lifestyle supports.

Dietitian Services
Registered Dietitians are regulated health professionals that support all health conditions. Dietitians can help to support nutrition across the lifespan with a variety of concerns whether it is overall healthy eating or more acute hospital-based care. A meeting with our dietitian will look at both evidence-based and wisdom-informed approaches to support your wellbeing.
Doula Support
The role of a doula is to support the birthing person and family through their pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum period, helping to ensure a positive and empowering experience. This means we focus on the whole person—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—rather than just the mechanics of birth.
A doula offers emotional guidance and encouragement, helping the birthing person process any fears or anxieties they may have around childbirth or postpartum experiences. We support physical well-being which can include comfort measures during labour, such as positioning, acupressure, and breathing techniques. We provide evidence-based information about the stages of labour, medical interventions, and choices for pain management, so the birthing person can make informed decisions.
Exercise & Movement Therapy
Exercise has been well-established for its profound benefits on body, mind, and heart, including the prevention and management of over 20 chronic disease conditions. Exercise programs can incorporate cardiovascular activity, resistance training and flexibility to support you in reaching your unique goals. Movement therapy incorporates individualized exercises using a base of Kinesiology, including the assessment of injuries and painful conditions, movement patterns leading to muscular imbalances, and injury prevention techniques through strength and conditioning. Mindful movement and yoga therapy may also be incorporated.
Holistic Nutrition
Holistic nutrition takes into account your unique health status, nutritional needs, goals and preferences, and includes learning how to listen to your body's signals, understanding what works for you, and tailoring your nutrition and lifestyle practices accordingly. By creating an individualized nutrition plan and guidance from the nutritionist, you are better able to strengthen your relationship with food, your digestion, and your overall health.

LED Therapy
Celluma LED light therapy is painless, non-invasive, and safe for all skin tones and types. By emitting specific wavelengths of light, the addition of light therapy adds deeply penetrating effects to the skin, including skin cell remodelling for fine lines and wrinkles, acne, skin tone and texture, and inflammation.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of muscles and connective tissues. Registered Massage Therapists help to assess your concerns and use a variety of techniques to help treat injuries, pain, or imbalances within the body. Massage helps cultivate relaxation, tension release, and improved circulation. This restorative treatment will help relieve stress and bring balance back to the body and mind.
Microneedling
Medical Microneedling, or Collagen Induction Therapy is a safe and effective treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, pigmentation, surgical scars, stretch marks, and enlarged pores. SkinPen creates micro-channels (microscopic holes) at a rate of 1600 per second. These micro wounds stimulate the skin, and engaging the body’s healing process of refreshed tissues. SkinPen does not rely on heat or chemicals, so the results are safe and natural for all skin types and tones. Downtime is minimal with redness usually dissipating within a few days. Optimal results recommend 3-6 treatments about 4 weeks apart.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine combines western medical approaches with natural and traditional therapies. By assessing your individual story and the psychological, environmental, and biological factors that may affect you, the Naturopathic Doctor is able to provide a unique treatment plan. This may include lab testing, pharmaceutical medications, supplements, hormone testing, and lifestyle counselling. The aim of treatment is the cultivation of goals and a treatment plan to achieve better and preventative health.
Naturopathic IV and Injection Therapy
IV iron therapy is a quick way to increase your ferritin levels. If you’ve tried iron supplements and they are either not increasing your iron levels OR you are not tolerating them, an iron infusion is a safe and effective way of raising your iron levels in just 4 weeks (compared to months of supplementation). Individualized Wellness IVs and Intramuscular Injections are a way to support certain health concerns or goals by delivering nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract in order to optimize absorption and use by your body. These are tailored to your needs, and can have a focus on supporting energy, your immune system, and more.
Either a Pre-Iron Infusion Consult or Pre-Nutrient IV and IM Consult is required prior to scheduling your IV or IM, if you have not seen a Naturopathic Doctor at Glow within three months.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is an area of physiotherapy that focuses on the muscles at the base of the pelvis which support the pelvic organs, as well as bladder, bowel and sexual functioning. In addition, pelvic health physiotherapy supports the connections that this area of the body has with nervous system health, the low back, and hips. Pelvic floor issues can affect all genders and may result in symptoms like pain, bladder and bowel leaks, and discomfort. Your physiotherapist will perform a thorough mind-body assessment and work with you to create a treatment plan going forward.
Please note: Your physiotherapist may suggest a vaginal or rectal internal exam to assess different aspects of your pelvic floor, including strength, control, coordination and prolapse. An internal exam is never mandatory, and alternatives are always provided.
